On a clear night, the dark skies of Ceredigion come alive with millions of stars glimmering in the night sky. Whilst staying with us you might be fortunate to experience an amazing star-filled sky to view from your own hot tub or just looking out from the outside seating area. Start your own dark sky experience here with Cambrian Mountains Glamping and Camping. Although we have grown up here in the area we are still amazed by the night sky and how it changes every night.
Within the Cambrian Mountains there are nine dark sky discovery sites and we are lucky to have three of these sites within a 30 minutes drive away at Ty’n y Cornel Hostel (within the parish of Llanddewi Brefi), Llanerchaeron National Trust, Ciliau Aeron and Coed Y Bont, Pontrhydfendigaid.
Of course you do not need to travel anywhere – just stand outside your accommodation and you will be able to start your own stargazing adventure here whether looking from the comfort of the outside seating or the warmth of your hot tub.
You don’t need expensive equipment to begin stargazing. It takes about 30 minutes for your eyes to totally adjust to the darkness. We are able to provide a stargazing hamper for you to hire during your stay. It contains everything you need to start your stargazing adventure.
