“Due to Covid we had to cancel our summer holiday overseas for August 2020 but luckily, we found this absolute gem Felin Gogoyan in beautiful Wales. From the moment we arrived, I knew it would be perfect and boy was it.
The cottage is delightful. Bigger than expected, really good size rooms with comfortable beds, exceptionally comfortable living room with open fire (yes, we even lit it in the summer), fully equipped kitchen with everything you need and more. The outdoor hot-tub is a fantastic and it was used every day during our 2 week stay.
The surrounding area is stunning. Loads of walks with amazing views from the top of the hills. The area is so quiet – you certainly won’t be hearing traffic. That in itself is relaxing. Fishing on site was a success and the kids spend ages playing in the streams. It was very much a family holiday and one that absolutely recharged the batteries.
There is plenty to do for trips out. We went to Teifi Pools (would swear you were in the Peak District), Devils Bridge Falls, Aberystwyth, Aberaeron to name a few. Many times we went to New Quay beach and we had some fab weather. Go one evening, get fish & chips and sit on the harbour wall and watch the dolphins. The Riverbank Cafe in Tregaron serves some delicious food – big portions. Y Talbot is lovely for dinner. A trip to Harbourmaster Aberaeron for dinner or fancy lunch is highly recommended, delicious food.
The one thing a trip to Felin Goyoyan has which many other places do not have is the welcome and hospitality shown by the owner Menna and her family. Not that we needed anything, but Menna was always on hand in case we did. She checked in with us regularly (not intrusive) to make sure all was well and we spent ages chatting about the local area and the history and she was more than willing to help me with my pronunciation of the Welsh language. Lovely lady as is all her family.
We had such a fantastic time that after our first week we booked to go again this year – I have never done that with a holiday. We are now are all very excited that we will spending another holiday at Felin Goyoyan.
If you are looking for a wonderful, charming, spacious, fully equipped, dog friendly (our dog loved it) holiday let which offers you stunning surroundings, peaceful location where you can relax (in the fab hot-tub) and just recharge the batteries whilst listening to nature, this is the absolute spot for you. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. In fact, I’d be confident that once you go, you will certainly return.”

Menna & John you both are amazing. Firstly, such a beautiful couple that works so hard to provide the best service.
Felin Gogoyan is such a beautiful cottage that bought two workaholic couples closer. If you need to get away, Felin Gogoyan is the best one.
Me & my family will visit back again and look forward to go back middle of 2021. Menna & John fulfilled all my expectations that I wanted to get done for my partner birthday too and he loved it. Menna & John have become very close to our hearts and we can’t wait to come back again.

We have been staying at the touring site for many many years. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend the site. It’s very scenic and relaxing, lovely walks and beautiful river. Great place to pitch up for a quiet holiday.
Have just come back from a weekend away, the site was so peaceful, the pods were immaculate, the view was perfect, was nice to just unwind and relax in the hot tub looking at the stars! Would highly recommend! Thank you Menna and John, will definitely be coming back!
My husband and I plus our 2 spaniels enjoyed a wonderful visit to ‘Felin Gogoyan’ in February 2020, in our opinion the perfect place to unwind and “recharge your batteries”. The cottage is both spacious, yet cosy and idyllically situated within the beautiful Cambrian Mountains. We enjoyed walking the dogs both right outside the cottage alongside the river Teifi and also going off exploring the local area with them further afield. We found lovely walks around Lampeter, Tregaron and Aberystwyth. The dogs were lucky enough to have their own room in the cottage which was definitely an added bonus! After our walks we’d look forward to chilling out in the gorgeous hot tub with a glass of ‘fizz’ and then dry out in front of the wood burning stove. Menna popped over daily to check the hot tub and see if we needed anything and it was lovely chatting with her. She introduced us to a locally made chilli jam that was delicious, particularly with cheese, plus thanks to her local knowledge she was able to recommend some great places to eat/visit.
After Covid restrictions are lifted, we can’t wait to return!
