How about travelling north towards Pontrhydfendigaid and visit historical Strata Florida, a former Cistercian Abbey which dates back to 1164. Remains can still be seen and a renovation programme is ongoing.
Devil’s Bridge is a short drive away from Ponrhydfendigaid where you can explore the area where the famous TV series Hinterland was filmed. A truly picturesque area within the Cambrian Mountains.
National Trust sites Dolaucothi Gold Mines (near Pumpsaint) and Llanerchaeron National Trust where you can take a leisurely walk to Aberaeron, are only a short drive away.
